Cambodia is beaming with opportunities.

Cambodia

University students in the capital city of Phnom Penh are eager and excited to meet you. Our teachers are looking forward to helping you connect with the community and put you in a position to thrive as you teach and influence young leaders. The laid-back culture of Cambodia is a perfect fit for those looking to connect with students over coffee and enjoy meaningful conversations with new and curious friends.

In Cambodia, you have a unique opportunity as an English educator to help your young students find their identity as a nation and point them to the ultimate hope for the future of their country.

Details
For this program, you could be based in the bustling capital city of Phnom Penh, the idyllic rural countryside of Kampong Thma, or the historic city of Siem Reap. Whether you choose to serve for 3 weeks or 6 weeks, the program begins with an orientation and training to prepare you for teaching and your new cultural context. For the next three weeks, your primary focus will be teaching English to Cambodian youth in a variety of settings. When you aren’t teaching, you’ll spend time lesson planning, studying the local language, and assisting long-term teachers. You’ll also have opportunities for cultural exploration throughout your time in Cambodia. If you’re interested in serving long-term with ELIC this program offers a good perspective on what life overseas looks like.
